At Floors Truly we offer a vast range of services and professional advice for the personal selection of your timber to the final finish, to suit your lifestyle and everyday needs.

Choosing timber floors offers many benefits including long term durability, assistance for asthma and allergy sufferers creating a clean and dust free environment and are easy to maintain.

Supply

We supply a large range of Australian hardwood timber and selected imported timber, parquetry, floating floors, laminate floors and pre-finished flooring to cater for all budgets.

We also supply other flooring items including treads and risers for staircases, decking, skirting boards in a wide range of profiles, beading and scotia.

Removal and disposal of carpet can be also supplied, upon request.

Installation

We install all timber flooring, as per Australian Standards.

Installations are performed on most sub-floor surfaces with battens, plywood or bearers and joists, and also to comply with acoustics and sound reduction.

Where floors require leveling, it is achieved with self leveling compounds, laser levels and packers.

Skirting boards, beading and scotia are also fitted, to finish the installation stage.

Staircases

Having a solid timber staircase should not cost you thousands of dollars.

Staircase installation can be achieved with full treads and risers or laminated floor boards to dress any existing staircase.

Sanding and polishing

Sanding and polishing is the final process to seal your floors, enabling you to achieve the look and feel of timber you desire.

Finishes come in a variety of sheens; high gloss, semi gloss (satin) or matt, and the products are either water-based, solvent based (polyurethanes) or tongue oils and some products are environmentally friendly.

Each finish has specific resistances and durability, depending on the traffic your floors encounter, Floors Truly will assist you in making the right choice of finish.

An inexpensive solution for existing floors that do not have a colour that is suitable to your decor, is staining. Staining comes in a wide choice of colours, which will give your floors character, enhancing the grain in your timber.

Liming is another option used to update the look of your timber, this giving your floors a lighter and modern look in colour.

Parquetry

There are unlimited patterns that can be achieved on a floor with parquetry designs.

Typical patterns of parquetry include; brick bond, basket weave, herringbone, square on square are the most common, although it is really up to the imagination on what can be achieved.

Parquetry designs can be installed on many surfaces including concrete, plywood, particle board or even on existing timber floors.

Decking

Decking is a form of timber flooring which is used to dress your outdoor areas, such as pergolas, porches, gazebos, balconies or poolside areas.

We install many species of timber decking to suit your requirements.

Repairs

Floorboards over a period of time can get damaged due to pests, water damage and everyday wear and tear.

Floors Truly have repaired and restored floors that date to the early 1900's.

Repairs are performed by removing damaged floorboards and replacing them with new, recycled or reclaimed timber to match the existing floorboards.
